Lion Cubs Born at Naples Zoo

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is celebrating the birth of three African lion cubs. The first cub was born on May 13th and cubs two and three were born the next morning on May 14th to first time mother, 13-year-old Shani. This is the first time lion cubs have been born at Naples Zoo in over 30 years. Endangered Clouded Leopard Kittens Make Their Debut

Naples Zoo is excited to announce that guests can now meet Jean and Janet, the endangered clouded leopard kittens. The ten-week-old kittens will make their grand debut to the public on Tuesday, May 7th. The exhibit will open to the public at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 7th. Jean and Janet will be on exhibit daily from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Lagoon Loop starting Tuesday, May 7th. Naples Zoo Announces Birth of Endangered Clouded Leopard Kittens

Naples Zoo is celebrating the birth of two endangered clouded leopard kittens.  First time mother, three-year-old clouded leopard, Tika, gave birth to kitten one at 7:49 am Friday, February 22nd and then kitten two at 8:32 am. The kittens are both female, kitten one weighed 262 grams and kitten two weighed 244 grams. Clouded leopard kittens are born with their eyes and ears closed. They typically open within 10 to 14 days. Naples Zoo Announces Birth of Critically Endangered Eastern Bongo

Naples Zoo is celebrating the birth of a critically endangered Eastern bongo calf. First time mother, three-year-old bongo, Amara, gave birth to a male calf at 2:25 am Wednesday, January 23rd. The calf weighs approximately 40 pounds and stands approximately 2 feet tall. Naples Zoo Breaking Ground on the Glass Animal Hospital

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is thrilled to break ground on the Glass Animal Hospital today (May 11, 2018). New to the Zoo: Mountain Bongos

Naples Zoo is excited to announce that our final exhibit to re-open after damage from Hurricane Irma is now complete. The Oasis exhibit had significant damage from the storm and Zoo staff has been diligently working to get the exhibit re-opened since September. Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is welcoming three black and white colobus monkeys – a father and his boys! The new Naples Zoo residents hail from Mesker Park Zoo in Evansville, Indiana.
