New traveling art exhibition!
November 16, 2019 to April 19, 2020
Naples Zoo’s newest traveling art exhibit will arrive in November! We are excited to welcome National Geographic’s Photo Ark, featuring captivating, large-format images taken by National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore, from November 16, 2019 through April 19, 2020.
The National Geographic Photo Ark is “using the power of photography to inspire people to help save species at risk before it’s too late.” Photo Ark founder Joel Sartore has photographed more than 9,000 species around the world as part of a multiyear effort to document every species living in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, inspire action through education, and help save wildlife by supporting on-the-ground conservation efforts.
"I want people to care, to fall in love, and to take action." - Joel Sartore
A few of our Naples Zoo animals have been featured, and those photos will also be on display! Joel has photographed Kaa our reticulated python, Oasis, one of our Damara zebra, our white-headed brown lemurs Barry and Victoria, and he photographed Uno, our late Florida panther.
