Naples Zoo Recovery Fund
Due to COVID-19, Naples Zoo was closed to the public for nearly 2 months (from March 16 through May 22, 2020). With March and April representing two of our largest attendance months, we had a more than $1 million loss in earned revenues tied to our closure. Naples Zoo is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and does not receive any government funding toward our Zoo operating budget. We have prided ourselves on the fact that our operating budget has been funded entirely from our earned revenues such as admission, membership, and concession sales. All charitable support is directed to our education programs and capital improvements designed to make Naples Zoo an even better community resource and experience. As has always been the case, all of our animals continue to receive the same superior care, veterinary care and enriching opportunities daily – a standard that is never compromised. However, during the closure, we lost a significant amount of earned revenues. Please consider a donation to our Recovery Fund to assist us in the care of our animals and team members. Your support is critical - now more than ever.
For 100 years, this 43-acre zoo and garden in the heart of Naples has been a dynamic and evolving resource for the Southwest Florida community and visitors to the area. As always, we greatly appreciate the support of our community and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
All contributions to Naples Zoo, Inc. are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
