Skip the Straw

Skip the Straw

Naples Zoo and our partners invite restaurant and hospitality-based businesses to make the "Skip the Straw" pledge!

Americans use 500 million plastic straws per day - It’s no wonder they’re among the top ten items collected every year during the Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup (ICC). In fact, ICC volunteers have picked up 10 million straws from local beaches and waterways over the thirty year history of the event!

Many restaurants, bars, cafes and other hospitality-based businesses are taking the lead to reduce the use of single-use plastics in their day to day operations. We want to celebrate your commitment to protecting our oceans and natural habitats. All restaurants, bars, cafes and hospitality-based businesses that commit to Skip the Straw – or have already done so – are invited to fill out the pledge form below:

By pledging to take action, you will:

  • Receive a Certificate of Appreciation celebrating your commitment to the environment to display at your business.
  • Have your business logo included on a banner at Naples Zoo in recognition for your pledge.
  • Be included in a press release announcement celebrating all businesses who pledge to Skip the Straw.
  • Be listed on Naples Zoo’s website as a Skip the Straw participant.
